The question was: how to speed up Java applications on SPARC architecture?
Thanks to all who replied...
Classic first steps: be sure to run the latest release of all components.
Solaris 10 offers also a great speed increase regarding older versions.
But, globally, there is no "magic rules" to increase Java performance.
It's clear that x86 overrun SPARC CPUs and some of you are already busy
to migrate your servers to x86.
The following URL proposes some guidlines regarding Java fine tuning:

Best Regards,
Xavier
