Thanks everyone the people on this list are amazing!

I had put my own inetd.conf file in place so didn't have these lines in
there.
I added them and no more error on bootup.
Do I need all 3 of thse entries? Not sure what they do exactly.

# METAD - SLVM metadb Daemon
100229/1 tli rpc/tcp wait root /usr/sbin/rpc.metad
rpc.metad
# METAMHD - SLVM HA Daemon
100230/1 tli rpc/tcp wait root /usr/sbin/rpc.metamhd
rpc.metamhd
# METAMEDD - SLVM Mediator Daemon

rpc.metamedd

Thank You.
Dave.

Below is my original question

I'm using Sun Storedge Manager (Disksuite) on solaris 9.

When the machine boots up each time I get a message on the screen that says

metaset: hostname metad client create RPC program not regsitered.

What does this mean?

I'm only using disksuite to mirror the boot disk.

I have a 3320 array connected to this machine and I have Veritas Volume
Manager installed which I'm using to strip/mirror the disks in the array.

Is the message above related to the 3320?
