ufsdump written on NFS share: 2 GB problem

Hi!

I have a problem with ufsdump under Solaris 8.
I mount a backup share via NFS 3 from an AIX server
and write a dump via ufsdump onto it. In most cases
this works very well but I have a problem with
file systems which hold more than 2 GB of data.

The dump will be written and the dump file has the
proper size. Everything looks great but if I try to
restore the file systems the process malfunctions
after 2 GB. ufsrestore asks for the next volume
which doesn't exists, of course.

I have no trouble with a ufsdump written onto a
local disk, only dumps written directly on a NFS
share are broken.

Has anyone a solution?

Thanks a lot.

Kai
