Intel Pro/1000 with Solaris 10

Hello,

I try to establish two FSC RX 200 servers with SunRays connected at a
school in Wiesbaden, Germany.

On the first server I installed Solaris 10 x/05, updated with the latest
recommended patches, installed SRSS 3.1 and everything worked just fine.
On the second server I installed Solaris 10 1/06 - because I do have
discs with a capacity of 140 GB where of only 8 GB have been detected
and I couldn't find out, which patch to add and how to add it.

So I installed Solaris 10 1/06, and saw the first Intel Pro/1000
Interface (e1000g driver) and could ping to the outer world.
Then I installed SRSS 3.1 on the second NIC, and all of a sudden, the
first one wouldn't talk to the outer world any longer.
I uninstalled SRSS 3.1, rebooted, everything is fine again. Then I did a
"ifconfig e1000g1 plumb" and the problem ist there again.

Does anybody know, where the problem comes from and how to work around it?
Is there a patch for this?

If anybody has a hint for the large disc problem at OS installation
time, I'd appreciate this also.

thank you very much, nice weekend
