Hi all,
I'm trying to create some jumpstart scripts for upgrading various Sun
boxes from solaris 8_02_02 to 8_02_04. I'm doing this by creating a
customized jumpstart CD (not with a jumpstart server). My testing shows
that the upgrade works on Ultra5 and Ultra10. However, it's failing on
a Netra120. I can successfully install both solaris 8_02_02 and
solaris 8_02_04 on the Netra. However, the jumpstart upgrade halted in
the following way:

Loading local environment and services
Generating upgrade actions
Found 64-bit installed on current upgradable device

I have also tried dry run the upgrade by booting the cdrom in
single-user mode, and then running /usr/sbin/install.d/pfinstall -D
<profile>
On the Ultra's, the exit status is 0. On the Netra's, the exit status
is 2, and the output looks like:
...
installboot /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0 (SPARC) or /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s2
touch ${base}/reconfigure
Test run complete. Exit status 2.
However, on the Ultra's (where the upgrade is successful), after the
'reconfigure' line, the following is also seen:
Preparing system for Solaris upgrade
Upgrade complete
Test run complete. Exit status 0.
Does anyone have experience with upgrading the netra120? Or know how to
debug a jumpstart upgrade from this point on?
