Hi,
IB4ve just installed an Intel PRO/10GbE SR Server adapter on a Sun Fire V480
server (running Netbackup) to replace
a gigabit interface.
To my surprise, the performance has been very poor -- while the gigabit
interface had peaks of 960 Mbps,
the 10GbE card has never passed the 600 Mbps limit (using more CPU than
before, also).
Unfortunately, there are almost no tuning information at all about this kind
of interface on
the Internet...
Anyone has some experience with this kind of interface? Some tuning
recommended?
