L25 error

I bought a 2nd user L25 off ebay the other day. Have checked the drives are
Sun original and not 3rd Party. I can confirm they are Sun original !

Power on and it goes through all the "post" ok and all insides move a whir
around but in the picture for each drive it says "waiting for drive Comms"

Thinking EBS might be a way around I installed EBS7.2 on to the L25 and it
appears to be sucessfully installed. I have not bothered to test configure
into it the 4mm DAT drive I have; I only want it to manage the L25 so I'm
going straight to trying to configure the L25 into EBS.

EBS includes a utility called "inquire" which is one of the starting points to
identify devices that might be candidates (it also picks up disk drives). The
output from inquire is as follows:

scsidev@0.5.0:HP C5683A C005|Tape, /dev/rmt/0cbn
scsidev@0.6.0:TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M14011009|CD-ROM, /dev/rdsk/c0t6d0s2
scsidev@0.10.0:SEAGATE ST336607LSUN36G 0307|Disk, /dev/rdsk/c0t10d0s2
                                           S/N: 3JA65NXF00007411CEDK
scsidev@0.11.0:SEAGATE ST336607LSUN36G 0307|Disk, /dev/rdsk/c0t11d0s2
                                           S/N: 3JA65LR5000074032HS8
scsidev@0.12.0:SEAGATE ST336605LSUN36G 0238|Disk, /dev/rdsk/c0t12d0s2
                                           S/N: 3FP0CWJ900002203HNJD
scsidev@0.13.0:SEAGATE ST336605LSUN36G 0238|Disk, /dev/rdsk/c0t13d0s2
                                           S/N: 3FP0DPBA00002202C4A4
scsidev@1.0.0:ATL 1500 3.01|Autochanger (Jukebox)
                                           S/N: RBD01A0035
scsidev@4.4.0:Symbios StorEDGE A1000 0301|Disk

You can see from this that the L25 is found and it is properly identified. The
S/N is OK; and it is described as an ATL 1500 Autochanger. The device is set
to emulate an ATL 1500 on its front panel (there are only two other emulation
options: M4 Data & ATL M2500). You can also see that there is no device
address path (such as /dev/rmt/nnnn); the Users Guide says that if this is the
case then it can't be configured in and device drivers are needed from the
manufacturer.

Is this rally the case?....(have been on Sun Solve and cannot find the driver)
or do I have a faulty part or Config error ?
