solaris 8 vlan connectivity woes

Hello to all.

I've got a few Solaris 84s (sparc, 108528-13) on sunfire v120 -machines. Occasionally they lose all network connectivity to certain workstations, that are on another vlan. Ping just returns -host unreachables- from the HP switch that connects these.

Weird thing is these blackouts only affect these few Solaris machines and _always last 40 minutes_. During blackout another identical solaris 8 -machine on same vlan works just fine...

Now before I start replacing switch modules or whatnot (vlan routing checked have I) any ideas?
