mkfs continued

hello All,

apologies for not giving a better listing yesterday. basically the sun
box is connected to a SAN switch which in turn has redundant connections
to the disk array. One connection did not work very well while I was
formatting and mkfs'ing. Hence, I got problems???. Apologies once
again.

Basically our college uses DATATEL as our student records, etc system
and I wanted to put that on the SAN disk since there is high I/O due to
the database.

Because of the redundant connections I see two disks (refer to 1st
listing) number 6 and 7. Number 8 is to do with power path.

I have created one big LUN on the SAN (3disk raid5 @ 146GB/disk). and
mounted /dev/dsk/c2t0d0s0 on /datatel

c2t0d0s0 partition is the full c2t0do disk

I have listed the steps I took and would appreciate it very much if some
of you could just confirm the steps below before I post this as
SUMMARY:

1. format drive
2.(a) create file system
2.(b) create/modify partitions
3. mount file system/

I can only mount /dev/dsk/c2t0d0s0 on /datatel. I don't know how things
will work out when that connection has problems and I need to mount
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0s0.

Thanks,

Abhimanyu.
