error message "mesg: cannot change mode"

Hi Managers,

I am getting the following error message when iam trying to switch to any
user accounts on the servers

 su - a206173
Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.9 Generic May 2002
mesg: cannot change mode

I checked the .profile and ididnt find any intresting thing over there.
Can anyone please advice what exactly i have to do to get rid of these
messages.
