Hi gurus,
I have searched SUNMANAGERS archive, but no one seemed to answered the
previous questions to this before...
A power outage knocked out our E220R machine here. Upon booting up
'ifconfig -a' does not display the previously-existent hme0. So now the
server is effectively a stand-alone PC!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled HME drivers packages SUNWhmd and
SUNWhmdu. This machine is a Solaris 2.6 box.
According to the Solaris 2.6 FAQ, the interface will be invisible to
ifconfig if there is not corresponding /etc/hostname.??[0-9]. Well, I
created hostname.hme and hostname.hme0 with no positive result.
Please help, else I shall have to rebuild. OUCH!
