useradd problem with solaris 10 jumpstart

Hello,

Has anyone tried useradd during solaris 10 jumpstart using the finish
script? I tried with solaris 10 (both March2005 and January2006 release) but
failed.

The useradd cmd is:

chroot /a /usr/sbin/useradd -m -u xx -g yy -d /home/zz -s /bin/sh zz

With march2005 release, the error is:

UX: /usr/sbin/useradd: ERROR: Inconsistent password files. See pwconv(1M).
EXIT_STAT=5

With January 2006 release, the error is:

UX: /usr/sbin/useradd: ERROR: Cannot update system files - login cannot be
created.
EXIT_STAT=14
