Good afternoon everyone,

I am trying to setup a jumpstart install/boot system to distribute a
preconfigured flash archive, the installserver is a fresh install, and has
never been used to install a client.

I am curently recieving the following messages on the install-Client when
booting with 'boot net -v - install'
ARP/RARP request timeout
ARP/RARP request timeout
ARP/RARP request timeout
ARP/RARP request timeout
ARP/RARP request timeout
38600 1000Mbps FDX Link Up
Using RARP/BOOTPARAMS
Requesting Internet Address for 0:3:ba:29:79:a
Internet Address is : 209.113.171.177
Hostname : a83297909
found 209.113.171.172 @ 0:3:ba:68:fd:19

At this point the system just sits there and does not make any progress. I
used snoop to monitor the packet exchange and I see the following scroll about
once a minute:
a83297909 -> BROADCAST BPARAM GET FILE root
installserver -> a83297909 BPARAM C GET FILE root
/export/install/boot/Solaris_10/Tools/Boot
a83297909 -> installserver ICMP Destination Unreachable (UDP port 599
unreachable)

I have checked the export/ directory and everything within has perimissions
set to 755.
  everything is owned by root.
The /jumpstart and /export are both shared via /etc/dfs/dfstab and set to
'ro,anon=0' per my instructions.
The path export/install/boot/Solaris_10/Tools/Boot is correct for my system
-- so this doesnt look like a type-o error.

If you have any suggestions please email to me -- I will post a summary once a
solution is found.

Thank you for your time,

Kenneth Stevens
