RAID1 or RAID5 with 4 disks

Hi Sun Managers...

I've ordered 4 new Sunfire V240s that come with 4 HDDs. In my collection
of 2 disk sunfires I currently have, I've mirrored the two disks using
Solstice Disk Suite (Solaris 8).

Now I have 4 disk machines, I don't have any statistical information on
whether to run RAID1 or RAID5 on the disks i.e. the performance /
redundancy / ease of recovery etc.

I'm concerned that mirroring will slow the writes to the disk to an
extent the performance will be compromised, and I understand it depends
on what the box will be used for.

I intend to install Solaris 9 with Sun's Volume Manager. The only users
on this machine will be root and myself. The main use is to run a
Netcool Object Server which is a memory resident database, but writes to
disk periodically.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Andy
