Greetings,
I had a hardware portability question about the Sun blade
series. Our Solaris 9 Sun Blade 150 is simply overwhelmed by the
applications that we run, and we'd like to upgrade (cheaply). I have
seen a few relatively inexpensive 1000s and 2000s that we could
purchase, but the time of upgrading would be a significant factor. So
my question is:
Can you swap a hard drive from a Sun Blade 150 (SPARC IIi) and put it
into a Sun Blade 2000 (SPARC III)?
I was wondering if I could just put the hard drive from my
current workstation into a new 2000 and be on my way. Any info would be
a great help, especially from any who have done it, I haven't got much
help from search engines and such. Thanks in advance,
