hi gurus its me again.. thanks for all who replied and help.. I need your

I have a file and I need to put a comment on the string it found and insert
a new line below that string/pattern I am searching.

i already got the sed part (thanks to all of you) now i need to know who to
put a comment on the pattern and insert a new line

file : submit.cf
pattern : D{MTAHost}[127.0.0.1]

I need is to put a comment on the original line D{MTAHost}[127.0.0.1] and
insert a line below it with D{MTAHost}[mailserver.com]
