ssh-agent and multiple session managers

I've just moved to Solaris 10 on my desktop to evaluate it before moving
our main systems to it. Before I get down to understanding all the new
concepts I have one niggle.
To use ssh-agent I have a line

dtstart_session[0]="/usr/bin/ssh-agent $DT_BINPATH/dtsession"

in my .dtprofile. This starts CDE fine. To use Java Desktop (aka gnome)
I need to change dtsession to gnome-session. This is trivial, but a pain,
as it means that when flicking backwards and forwards between session
managers I need to edit my .dtprofile every time.

So quick question; does dtlogin set a variable according to which session
is choosen that I can use in .dtprofile to select one of two
dtstart_session lines? Or has anyone else any suggestions where I can run
ssh-agent to allow me to switch between sessions seamlessly?

TIA

John
