Dear managers,
I am having a SF20K with 24 CPUs in one domain (US-III+ and
US-IV processors). It has Solaris 9 OS and VxVM 4.1 and Oracle running on it.
The problem is that all the time CPU usage is exceeding 95%-100%. Only on
weekends/night time, the usage comes down to 60-70%.
A call is already opened
with Sun. They suggested some patches, I applied those, but still no luck.
Working with database admins also but still no clear picture, in ps or top
output...everything seems to be usual, which is consuming extra-ordinary CPU
time.
Has anybody faced such type of problem on such a high end machine
running with Solaris 9 + Oracle + VxVM? Please share your valuable experience
in this regard.
I know this is not easy to troubleshoot by getting ideas :-)
but still some case studies or similar type of problem's solution might help.
