Hi Gurus,
We recently purchased JetStor SATA array (4 TB). I configured the array and created 3.2 TB RAID set/Volume set (RAID 6 + Spare) and attached sun Fire V210 running Solaris 8. After RAID was setup i tried to do format from Solaris 8 and was able to see the device. when i seleted the device /labelled it and tried to get print partition info and got the error "Arthmatic exception". I did some googling but couldn't got the answer except one thread which was talking about LUN size limit on Solaris 8/9 but not sure so i thaught of decreasing the LUN size (volume set) and so deleted the 3.2 TB created 2 TB volume set (RAID 6+ Spare) but no luck. When tired to format it gave me an error saying" Mode sense page(3) reports nsect value as 480, adjusting it to 0".
Is this Solaris 8 problem? or RAID 6 issue? Do i need some patches to resolve this? Currently i am running Solaris 8 with 108528-23.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards
B
