Dear managers,
I am happy to share the solution, although it was not a very
big thing for experts, but for me it was :)
1. The Solaris 8 media I used to
boot was old. (not sure about the version, because immediately I got Solaris9
media)
2. To come out of this stuck state (console loops)
> I used #. to
comeout of console loop (shown in my original problem.)
> Then used break
command.
> After this again logged on to console and tried to boot from
another Solris 9 media. It was successful.

suggesting the accurate solution. Thanks to Christian, Casper and Darren for
very very prompt response.
