Sun Ray Serial Port Problem

Dear managers,

we have a problem with a Sun Ray 170. We connected it to the server and expected the two serial ports to appear in /tmp/SUNWut/units/IEEE802.0003baffb8cb but they don't show up. ./dev and ./devices remain empty. We are puzzled!?
Any ideas?
