Recognizing disks - format gives "drive type unknown"

Hi Gurus,

I have a E20K domain running Solaris 9 connected to a SAN via
QLogic-2200 HBA. Some LUNs on HDS Tagma was mapped to
this host and the sd.conf was configured for 256 LUNs per target.

When I try to label the disk, the format command return:

        2. c2t50060E8004295100d0 <drive type unknown>
             /pci@9c,600000/SUNW,qlc@1/fp@0,0/ssd@w50060e8004295100,0

and when I let "format" "auto-configure" the disk type (option
"type", then select "0. Auto-Configure") I get the message:

        Auto configure failed

Within "format", the "inquiry" option yields

        Vendor: HITACHI
        Product: OPEN-V -SUN
        Revision: 5004

And, within vxdisk I get:

        root # vxdisk list Disk_2
        Device: Disk_2
        devicetag: Disk_2
        type: auto
        flags: online error private autoconfig
        errno: Device path not valid
        Multipathing information:
        numpaths: 1
        c2t50060E8004295100d2s2 state=enabled

I also tried to do "devfsadm -C" and then "vxdctl enable".

Any suggestions what can be done about it?

TIA,

Fred
