Dear managers,
Need help related to SAN. I have a server (SF6800) which has
some disks from EMC and some of the disks from Hitachi storages. In total,
there are 170 disks on that server. I need to upgrade this system from Solaris
8 to Solaris 9. I am comfortable with liveupgrade with VxVM.
The doubt I
am having is, if on upgrade, the VxVM is not able to detect the disks, then
what package I need to reinstall so that system can detect these disks. Also,
what other precautions I should take when upgrading a high end server
connected to two type of storages. Is there anyway which can nullify the need
of reinstalling any package during upgrade activity?
