starting legacy rc3.d scripts under Solaris 10

I have a couple of applications from Solaris 8 & 9 that are started in
the /etc/rc3.d directory. I have verified that they work under Solaris 10.
According to the README in the /etc/rc3.d/ directory, files in there should
still be honored. However, they are not being started when I reboot the
server. With Solaris 10, is there anything additional I need to do to get
these applications started at boot?

Thanks, and I'll summarize.
