Hello gurus,
we have a small ultra enterp 1 for a desktop machine, and such, but
today is losing the settings from its EEPROM.
It complains that the battery of the CMOS needs to be replace.
Ok I will sound super dumb, but there is no battery on the board
anywhere.
There is a web page (http://www.belgers.com/computers/nvram/) to say how
to fix it, but really I will not open the CMOS with a saw.
Anyone has any suggestions? (we are replacing the cmos with another cmos
that works as we speak, but I really wonder what do we do with the old
one).
thanx peoples.
y.
