Hi Gurus,
I have setup Solaris 10 to sync time with NTP Server for which i setup
ntp.conf file in /etc/inet/ which looks similar to below example:
I enabled the ntp service as svcadm enable ntp and i do see xntp daemon
running.
 root 8931 1 0 15:13:32 console 0:00 /usr/lib/inet/xntpd

/etc/inet/ntp.conf
server ntp1.gene.com prefer
server ntp2.gene.com
driftfile /var/ntp/ntp.drift
statsdir /var/ntp/ntpstats
filegen peerstats file peerstats type day enable
filegen loopstats file loopstats type day enable
filegen clockstats file clockstats type day enabl

We have Big Brother monitoring this NTP by running ntptrace and it
continuously giving an alarm. When i checked ntptrace command on Soalris
10 it gives timeout error which is why i think Big Brother is
complaining all about.

bash-3.00# /usr/sbin/ntptrace
localhost: ntp1.gene.com
        *Timeout*

Not sure what am i missing on Solaris 10.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I will summarize.
