I just my self a Sun T2000 system for evaluation
purpose. I am currently sitting trying to boot
the server. The system only came with two network
cables, nothing else. What I understand from the,
not included docs, one must use the special
serial to TP cable to connect to the serial mgmt
port? I have tried using the regular serial port
but it doesn't reply to that one at all.
Any hints?
I must say I am a little surprised Sun still uses
serial ports for initial startup, I haven't owned
a portable computer, mac or pc with a serial port
in years.
