ftp problem

Hi Guru's,

I am getting ftp error when I am trying to ftp hostname, following are the
error message from application program trying to ftp, do some one know how
to fix the problem

Net::FTP: Connection refused at /opt/Perl/lib/perl5/site_perl/Net/FTP.pm
line 67

cvar_backtest:ERROR - ftp fails ; can't connect to hostname; Net::FTP:
Connection refused
