OS Upgrade

Sun Gurus,

I did an OS upgrade from Solaris 8 to 9 on two Sunfire V440's and it took
around 9 hours to complete. Where as an upgrade of V240 took around 3
hours. I was kinda stumped. Any idea why it took so long for a V440 ?
