Request a network connection from one IP to another IP from a specific port

Hi Gurus,

I have a question...

I have 2 sun boxes. One of them is being used as web server, the other
is
being used as application server.

There are virtual Ips on web server which are dedicated to different
domains.

There are also virtual Ips on application server.

The domains on web server are communicating with virtual Ips on
application
Server with specific port.

Although all configuration are the same for all domains on the web
server,
There is a problem from one domain on the web server to application
server.

We would like to reveal the cause of the problem. We are suspecting
Of firewall settings for port or IP address definitions.

For that purpose, I would like to see whether there are any
communications
>From the virtual IP on the web server to the application server IP with
Specific port.

It is also valuable to find something that I can specify source IP,
destination IP,
And port number to see the connection is refused or not from that port
or IP.

I would appreciate any help.
