Hello People;

I managed to lay my hands on one of them Niagara system.

Booted it up and truly, Solaris 10 Update One saw 32 CPUs.

Had to see it to believe it.

I am wondering about the performance as compared to actual 32 CPU
systems. I know it is NOT being marketed as a direct replacement for
actual 32 CPU systems, it is marketed as a replacement for Edge servers,
F/W, DNS, httpd, IDS etc etc

But I was wondering whether any one in this list could give a detailed
dissection on the performance of threads per core, cores per CPU and
actual physical one core, one thread CPUs systems.

Anyone?

Warmest Regards
Steven Sim
