Hell No. It's simply a dual connector to the same ethernet interface ( so
that you don't have to bother buying an AUI transciever if you don't have one
).

Hello,
I notice on some Sun boxes (SparcStation 5/10), there is an AUI and a 10BaseT
ethernet port side by side on the same machine.
Question is:
Can there two be used at the same time over different LAN segments (different
ip address/subnet)?
