Hell No. It's simply a dual connector to the same ethernet interface ( so
that you don't have to bother buying an AUI transciever if you don't have one
).

Thanks. for all the help.

Hello,

I notice on some Sun boxes (SparcStation 5/10), there is an AUI and a 10BaseT
ethernet port side by side on the same machine.

Question is:

Can there two be used at the same time over different LAN segments (different
ip address/subnet)?

Thanks for any help.
