Hello List,
I have been working with Sun equipment for some time, but now I have to
remotely install latest patches on a client that has 1 v880 and 1 E450.
I'll be working remotely, and there is no serial console server.
Never had a problem when connecting through the serial ports on a Sun,
but here I'll have to connect them to each other in order to install the
patches one a time.
The problem here is that both machines, AFAIK, have serial A/B on the
same port, and I need to guide the onsite technician to get the correct
cable.
I know we could connect to the v880 using the RSC via the RJ45, I'll
have to install the RSC software first.
I'm looking for the fasted/cheaper way to get them connected to each
other via the serial ports and will appreciate if you guys can give me
exact details on what cable/cables we'll need and how they will work.
I hope I made myself clear :-)
