SunPCI Sound

Up until now it has not been a problem, but I'm having trouble with Media Player
files and their Windows-Only magic. It was OK when I was forced to listen to
different radio stations, but now I have problems viewing presentations that are
beyond JavaPlayer, RealPlayer, and ShowMeTV.

I have a SunPCI card installed on my Sparc (5.8) for the one Windows app I need
to run once or twice a month. The BIOS shows an ESS ES1869 PnP AudioDrive
device when the PC boots, and Win2K recognizes the device. However, I can't get
sound from Windows. There is a Crystal 4231 on the Sparc,

The Sparc has a CS4231 audio Interface [audiocs(7D)] that works perfectly well
under Solaris, and when I tried to modify the drivers on the Win side to force a
CS4231, it didn't work. I changed it back - no errors, but it doesn't work.

The Windows folks here won't touch it (I don't blame them). Anyone ever get
sound out of these things?

TIA,
-Sal
