All:
I have a SUN Blade 1500 running Solaris 8 7/03 and I have getting an error
while running the devfsadm command. This is the error I am receiving:
devfsadm: lstat failed for /dev/rmt/c0: Value too large for defined data type
I currently have 2 SCSI disks and a HP 4mm tape drive hooked up to the
workstation and previously had no problems. I am assuming this is an error
with the tape drive, which works, due to the /dev/rmt path.
We just had a problem with the workstation not detecting IDE hard drives and a
SUN rep stopped by, replaced the motherboard, and now it will pick up the IDE
devices (which are not installed when I receive this error) but this is
popping up.
I looked up the error in Google but I found nothing relevant to the devfsadm
(or even drvconfig, for that matter) command.
Does anyone know what this error is? Is it serious? How do I fix the issue?
TIA. Will summarize.
Thanks,
