Hi!

I need a replacement for our workstation which is used to connect to to
the management ports of our Sun V240, V440 and V490. We are planning to
pruchase a notebook/ laptop for this task and I want to ask you, if you
have any experiences with newer laptops which usually don't have any COM
ports anymore. Do you know of any current laptop (running SuSE 10.0 or
Fedora Core) which either has a built- in Com- port or a port-
replicator, docking station, whatever, which is stable enough to for
emergency connections to the suns.

The workstation which is used for this task by now will stay and be
maintenanced for a longer time. The laptop should just be a backup for
it, because the hardware is rather old.

Regards,
Thomas

P.S. Sorry for a possible double- posting, but I used the wrong account
to send the first time.
