problem with FC3510 disk replacement

I never claim to be a storage admin but my job sometimes requires me to
learn the dark side of the force.

I digress,

After disk replacement with a supported Sun product, the drive is still
showing bad. However, the model # is not that of the new disk. Looks
like the array hasn't polled for any change of disks.

sccli> show disks
Ch Id Size Speed LD Status IDs Rev
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
 0 0 N/A N/A ld0 BAD SEAGATE ST373307LSUN72G 0507
                                                   S/N 3HZ6NHA500007425

sccli> show drive-parameters
 spin-up: disabled
 reset-at-power-up: enabled
 disk-access-delay: 15s
 scsi-io-timeout: 15s
 queue-depth: 32
 polling-interval: 500ms
 enclosure-polling-interval: 30s
auto-detect-swap-interval: disabled (should this be changed?)
 smart: disabled
 auto-global-spare: disabled

Any help? I checked online and there doesn't seem to be cmd to force a
media check and rebuild.
