Hello,
is it possible to span a metadevice mirror across two cluster nodes ?
I have two machines acting as a two node cluster.
Each of them have one extra internal data disk.
With the command "scdidadm -L" I see both disks on every node:
1 node1:/dev/rdsk/c0t10d0 /dev/did/rdsk/d5
2 node2:/dev/rdsk/c0t11d0 /dev/did/rdsk/d6
Sitting on node1 I make
node1# metainit d101 1 1 /dev/global/dsk/d5s0
d100: Concat/Stripe is setup
node1#metainit d100 -m d101
d100: Mirror is setup
node1# metainit d102 1 1 /dev/global/dsk/d6s0 <--- this is on the other node = node2
d102: Concat/Stripe is setup
So setting up the metadives went fine.
But when I'm trying to attach the second half of
the mirror (which sits on node2) I get:
node1# metattach d100 d102
metattach: node1: /dev/md/rdsk/d102: No such device or address
Is it somehow possible to take a partion from the
second cluster node as the second half of a Mirror ?
Environment:
Solaris 2.9
SUN Cluster 3.1
Hardware SUN E250 with only internal HDDs
Thanks,
Olaf
