problems with sun-rpc

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a fault or a misconfiguration. I've two jumpstart
servers on the same segment. It is not possible to concentrate the
jumpstart configuration on a single machine !! However, server one (JS1) is
running Sol 9 and server two (JS2) is running Sol 10.
Now machine one (M1) tries to jumstart from JS1. From my snoop trace I can
see, that the rarp and tftp is always ok. But then the M1
sends broadcasts to contact the bootserver. I see packages leaving M1 as
broadcast targeting sun-rpc looking for BPARAM.
It seems that both machines respond to this call. Althought JS2 has no
entries about M1 in its config files. Neither in /etc/ethers nor
/etc/bootparams. Only in its /etc/hosts. Now the batte begins, and each
machine tries to serve the M1 box. Usually JS1 wins, but in 1 out of 5 the
JS2 wins. I've no explanation. Can anybody shed some light on the rcp
bootparam thing.
Since ipf is not capable of filtering mac adresses I can't see any
possibility to block out the other machines.
