Hello Managers,
I have a disk array connected with fibre channel to server A. The disk
array has a single LUN (900MB) which is known as d0 on server A.
d10 through d20 are soft partitions created from d0.
We know need to move the array from server A to server B. What is the
easiest way to do that ? The current plan is to shut down server A,
connect serverB to the disk array and do:
metainit d0 1 1 c2t0d0s0 (or whatever device the array is detected as)
metarecover d0 -p -d
serverB doesn't have any pre-existing metadevices.
Of course, we don't have the spare hardware to test it out first. :-)
As usual, all comments greatly appreciated.
