Runaway CRON Job - Won't allow access for other processes

Hi Folks

Thanks a million to everybody who came back to me re: the problem logging onto
our Blade 100.

We've tried all of the suggestions; boot -s, booting from cdrom installation
disk and believe me quite a number of other options.

When we boot from the cdrom drive and this is a drive that up until yesterday
was being actively used everyday we're told the system cannot read the boot
device. We've tried a number of installation disks but none will work.

We now believe we've got a runaway cron job that apart from filling the disk
is also hogging the processor. I've tried crontab -r but it just doesn't
work.

The system still boots up with hardly a hitch but still when I key the login
and password either in the gui or at the command line it just reverts to the
gui login again.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Marc O'Connor
