Greetings Everyone,

I'm looking to tap the great wealth of knowledge of this mailing list,
for information about the StorEdge A3500FC.

I acquired the StorEdge A3500FC from the corporate office (I work at a
remote site), and I plan on replacing a small StorEdge A1000, with this
bemoth. (two cabinets, ten shelves) I'm already familiar with Raid
Manager, and should have no problem getting the A3500FC up and running.

However, (and their wouldn't be a posting, if their wasn't this word.) I
am also working on replacing my aging SCSI-attached DLT tape library
with a Fibre Channel (optical) attached tape libraries. [Basically
creating a SAN for backup purpose only.]

An now to my question. Does anyone have any experience attaching a
StorEdge A3500FC to a SAN, thus making the storage capacity of the
array, available to more than just one server, or am I stuck with
treating the A3500FC as another direct attach storage box.

Note: The core of the planned SAN is a Qlogic SB5202 FC switch, an
Overland Storage REO 9000 VTL, and NEO 8000 PTL.
