Centralized Authentication / Authorization...

Sun Managers,

I've been doing some research. I'm wondering how many of you have a
working krb5+openldap configuration for centralized authentication /
authorization. I found some good information here:

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=67&url=http%3A//www.ofb.net/%7Ejheiss/krbldap/kerberos_and_ldap.ppt&ei=DhweQ6iZEcCaaNj06IoN

If you could share your experiences, I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to get
a authentication/authorization service which can be used cross-platform
(preferrably SPARC Solaris and x86 Linux)

My understanding is that:

         1. Kerberos will do the authentication
         2. LDAP will do the authorization

Pros/Cons?

I will summarize afterwards.

TIA,

Ryan
