Hello,

here some additional infos:

the A1000 is a used one. The current values like LUNS etc. are unknown.
I pulled out the internal battery to reset the controller to factory
settings.

E450:
I replaced the 2nd X6540 controller with an X6541. (Same PCI slot).
After a boot -r the the old device driver c4.... was deleted but a new
one wasn`t build.
Would deleting the physical driver in /devices be a solution ?

tia.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I am running an E450 with Solaris 2.6.
The first time the system ran completely with SDS:
c0 as internal SCSI controller.
2 additional dual single ended scsi host adapters where installed:
c2, c3 (one X6540A )and c4 (2nd X 6540A) for the drive bays.
Because of performace reasons I "metacleared" and removed all disks
connected with c4 an replaced the controller with an X6541 A
(dual differential host adapter) connected to an A1000.

Within OBP I can see the A1000 with probe-scsi-all.
But after a boot -r no physical or logical driver where built.

2. problems:

- Whats wrong with A1000 and X6541A ?
- Under no circumstances the mirrors / raid5 configuration with scsi host
adapters
  c0, c2 and c3 should be endangered.

What can I do ?

Thanks in advance.
