QLogic 2342 Problem under Solaris 10, trying to get QLA2300 driver loaded.

After a clean Solaris 10 install, I shut the machine down and installed
a QLOGIC 2342 64bit/66mhz card in the 64bit/66mhz slot in a Sun 280R.

However, I cannot get the card to use QLogic's QLA2300 driver, can
anyone shed some light on this issue? All steps taken are shown below:

STEP 001: Install the card

I inserted the card and I can see that the default qlc driver is bound
to the card.

bash-3.00# modinfo |grep qlc
 25 128a0e0 69b50 104 1 qlc (SunFC Qlogic FCA v20050307-1.61)
bash-3.00#

STEP 002: Install the driver

The manual and the README states that after installing the driver, you
can reboot with reboot -- -r and it will attach with the qla230 driver.

bash-3.00# pkgadd -d qla2300.sparc_pkg

The following packages are available:
  1 QLA2300 QLogic QLA2300 driver
                   (sparc) Solaris, Rev=4.18
2 QLSDMLIB QLogic SNIA Library (32 and 64 bit) for SNIA 1.0
                   (sparc) Solaris 7-8-9-10, Rev=3.10
3 QLSDMLIB6 QLogic SNIA Library (32 bit) for SNIA 1.0
                   (sparc) Solaris 2.6, Rev=3.10

Select package(s) you wish to process (or 'all' to process
all packages). (default: all) [?,??,q]: 1,2
