I am running Iplanet 4.1 on a Solaris 7 box. Up till now it has worked
fine. Recently the following errors have arisen:
When a file is uploaded to the webserver (to modify the contents of
webpages), there is a delay between the link that points to this file being
updated and the time that the file was uploaded. Up until now, the change
has been instant, as soon as a file is uploaded, the referring link has to
be re"clicked" and the new file displays. Now it takes several hours for
the link to be refreshed. However if the page is opened for the first time
the link is updated. In other words, whilst accessing a page, if a
modification has been made to that page - the change is not displayed on
the page, even if it is refreshed. However the updated page exists on the
relevant folder in the server.
Any ideas on what the reason for this delay is?
