I have a dozen of very critical production V1280
servers
that I need to do SC firmware and flashprom upgrade
to the latest version (5.18.4). I have downloaded
patch
#114525-05 and plan to upgrade them in the next few
days.
How hard is it to upgrade the firmware for these
servers? Is there any got'cha's? How long does it to
upgrade 1 V1280? Can I request Sun FE to do it for me
(we have a Platinum support with Sun). These V1280 are
running Solaris 2.9; 4 boards; 12xcpu and 24 GB of
memory.
I have upgraded other systems before (E420,450,6500)
but
not the V1280.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
