urgent:mount problem

The sunfire (solaris 5.8) which we are using here had lots of space
allocated as swap(nearly 10 GB).So I tried stealing some swap space and
allocated to the slice 3 which was unallocated previously.the space I took
to slice 3 is nearly 8 GB).
Now when I try mounting the slice 3 to /opt/home1 ( a new directory that I
created) , I am not able to.
Mount command exits with the following message "mount: /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3 is
not this fstype".
Should I make an entry in vfstab?or is it just enough to give the command as
mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3?
Or is there any other problem that I need to address before I mount it?

Can anybody please answer thee questions and help me out?

Thanks,
Saranya
