Hi --
I am having difficulty getting an HP LJ 2100 printer to play nice with
Solaris. I have directly connected the printer to the system's Parallel
port (Not using Jet Direct here). I have set up the printer as a
postscript printer (The LJ 2100 we are using has the postscript module).
When a print job is submitted, the printer just blinks, nothing comes out.
However, here is the odd part; If we disconnect the cable, submit a job,
then reconnect the cable, the job prints fine. I'm guessing at this point
that there is some timeout occuring, but not sure what? Are there any
known issues with using an HP LaserJet 2100 printer under solaris 9? Does
anyone have a fix for the problem we are experiencing?
