Copy modified/changed data only

Hi,
 I would like to copy a filesystem data from one system to another system, only if they are changed. ie, I want to copy only the changed(modified) data. Could someone tell me if there is a command or quick script can do this job. Every night I would like to do the same by adding in to cron job.
